What Is a TechCheck
TechCheck is a structured, non-invasive evaluation of your business technology environment. It documents your current systems, identifies observable risks, and provides prioritized recommendations for improvement.
No changes are made during the assessment. The engagement is diagnostic and advisory only.

-
1. Pre-Review Business Meeting Client alignment and scope planning
Before the 1 to 3 hour on-site review, we meet with you to understand your business and align the engagement. In this pre-review meeting, we:
- Confirm scope and location
- Identify key systems in use
- Review business priorities and operational concerns
- Establish a primary point of contact
- Define access boundaries
This ensures the assessment is efficient and controlled.
-
2. On-Site System Review (1 to 3 Hours) Structured observation, diagnostic only
During the visit, we perform a structured review that may include:
- Network equipment observation (modem, firewall, switches, WiFi)
- Identification of connected devices and endpoints
- Review of password and access control practices
- Confirmation of endpoint protection presence
- Backup system existence and configuration overview
- Basic firewall and router configuration visibility
- Public exposure review (open services, remote access indicators)
- POS and operational system overview
If credentialed access is provided, it is limited to read-only review where technically feasible.
- No configuration changes are made
- No software is installed
- No remediation work is performed
-
3. Risk Documentation Categorized findings and next steps
All observations are documented and categorized by:
- Risk level
- Operational impact
- Exposure type
- Recommended next step
The goal is clarity, not technical overwhelm.
-
4. Report Delivery and Next-Step Scheduling (4 to 5 Business Days) Actionable output, review, and planning
You receive a structured TechCheck Report that includes:
- Current-state system summary
- Identified security gaps
- Risk prioritization
- Clear remediation recommendations
- Strategic improvement guidance
We also schedule a follow-up session to prioritize and plan the recommendations from the report.
An optional review meeting may be scheduled to walk through findings and answer questions.
